Alliant Energy issues RFI for biomass sources

Alliant Energy's Wisconsin Power & Light Co. is issuing a request for information to determine interest and the economic capabilities of providing biomass for an expansion project at its Nelson Dewey Generating Station in Cassville, Wis. Wisconsin Power & Light intends to add a 300-megawatt electrical-generating unit, which will burn coal and biomass such as waste wood, corn stover and switchgrass.
