Operable U.S. biofuels capacity was largely unchanged in September, according to data released by the U.S. EIA on Nov. 28. Feedstock consumption was down when compared to both the previous month and September 2024.
Drax on Nov. 26 announced it will cease operations at its pellet plant in Williams Lake, British Columbia due to a significant reduction in fiber availability. The facility is expected to close before the end of the year.
Clean Energy Fuels Corp. has announced it has successfully completed its RNG facility located at South Fork Dairy in Dimmitt, Texas. The facility is now producing pipeline-quality RNG and has begun injecting into the interstate natural gas pipeline.
