USDA: Pellet exports reach 738,300 tons in September


The U.S. exported 626,471.8 tons of wood pellets in September, according to data published by the USDA Foreign Agricultural Service on Nov. 5. Exports were down when compared to August, but up from September 2018.

Port of Pascagoula, Enviva break ground on pellet export terminal


A groundbreaking ceremony took place Nov. 7 for Enviva’s new marine export terminal in the Port of Pascagoula’s Bayou Casotte Harbor in Mississippi. The ceremony marks the beginning of 15 months of construction on the $90 million terminal.

Report: European pellet consumption, production up in 2019


The 28 European Union member states produced nearly 17 million metric tons of wood pellets last year and consumed nearly 27 million metric tons, according to date recently released by Bioenergy Europe.
