C.F. Nielsen is the leading manufacturer of mechanical briquetting presses. We supply briquetting solutions all over the world for the production of industrial-type briquettes for use in big boilers at heating plants and gasifiers etc., and log-type briquettes to be used in fireplaces and ovens by private consumers. Our Mechanical press is especially suitable for making briquettes used in gasifiers due to its flexibility regarding briquette’s shape, form, and density. Furthermore, our Mechanical press can handle most types of biomasses. This flexibility is something that is essential within the gasification process. We have delivered several briquetting projects for this industry over the last few years. Through the development of machines, C.F. Nielsen created a culture which still exists today – the development and production of machines in close contact with customers. We work closely with our customers to ensure that our solutions meet their demands and expectations, why most briquetting presses and solutions are tailor-made to our customers. C. F. Nielsen was founded in 1889 by Carl Frederik Nielsen and started out as a traditional blacksmith shop and later expanded to include an iron foundry. In the 1930s, C.F. Nielsen started their production of customed machines for local farmers, and during the 1940s, the first briquetting press was designed. After 100 years of being a family-owned business, C.F. Nielsen was sold in 1998 to Henning M. Larsen. Under his leadership, the company continued to grow and expand internationally. In the following years, the production facilities were expanded, to make more room to produce briquetting presses. In 2007, Mogens Sloth Knudsen and DKA Capital A/S acquired C.F. Nielsen A/S. In 2011, Henning M. Larsen and Mogens Sloth Knudsen acquired all shares and in 2018, the company was acquired by RUF Briquetting Systems. Today C.F. Nielsen and RUF Briquetting Systems offer all three briquette technologies: mechanical, extruder, and hydraulic. In which C.F. Nielsen produces the Mechanical- and Extruder press.
