Advanced Biofuels Canada Association President Fred Ghatala on March 12 released a statement highlighting the stabilizing role of biofuels amidst current global crude oil supply shocks.
The U.S. exported 964,860.7 metric tons of wood pellets in January, up from 834,615 metric tons in December and 825,269.9 metric tons in January 2025, according to data released by the USDA Foreign Agricultural Service on March 12.
The U.K. Trade Remedies Authority on March 12 announced it no longer plans to recommend the U.K. government implement countervailing duties on U.S. renewable diesel, citing the expiration of the biodiesel blenders tax credit (BTC).
The USDA reduced its forecast for 2025-’26 soybean oil use in biofuel production in its latest World Agricultural Supply and Demand Estimates report, released March 10. The expected price for soybean oil was revised up.
