The U.S. Department of Energy has announced its intent to issue funding to support research and development (R&D) projects for converting algae and other wet waste feedstocks to low-carbon fuels, chemicals and agricultural products.
PBF Energy Inc. released fourth quarter financial results on Feb. 15, reporting that the company’s St. Bernard Renewables (SBR) facility produced approximately 12,000 barrels per day of renewable diesel during the three-month period.
The U.S. DOE announced at the Hearth, Patio & Barbecue Expo in Nashville, Tennessee, up to $2 million in Phase 1 funding for six projects to accelerate wood heater innovation and develop the next generation of efficient and clean wood heaters.
Ameresco Inc. on Feb. 20 announced that it achieved commercial operation at its landfill gas to RNG plant at Republic Services’ Brickyard Landfill in Danville, Illinois. The facility has a gross nameplate of over 500,000 dekatherms per year.
Clean Energy Fuels Corp. on Feb. 14 announced the completion of its latest RNG facility in Marshall County, Iowa. The Marshall Ridge Dairy project is expected to produce 1.7 million gallons of low carbon-intensity RNG annually.
