New independent analysis by Public First, ‘Mind the gap: Exploring Britain’s energy crunch’, commissioned by Drax Group, reveals that the U.K. will hit an energy security “crunch point” in 2028.
Sugar Valley Energy, a new 160-acre bioenergy campus planned in California’s Imperial Valley has added New York-based TerraNova Capital Equities, Inc. to its finance team to lead marketing and placement of equity capital for the $1 billion project.
U.S. manufacturers produced approximately 870,000 tons of densified biomass fuels in November, according to the February edition of the U.S. EIA’s Monthly Densified Biomass Fuels Report. Sales of densified biomass fuel reached 790,000 tons.
Sens. Sherrod Brown, D-Ohio, and Pete Ricketts, R-Neb., have introduced the Renewable Fuel for Ocean-Going Vessels Act, which aims to ensure that RINs generated for renewable fuel used by ocean-going vessels would be eligible for RFS compliance.
The U.S. Department of Energy and the U.S. EPA on Feb. 22 released a funding opportunity announcement (FOA), entitled, “Inflation Reduction Act Funding for Advanced Biofuels,” for up to $9.4 million for the development of advanced biofuels.
