Report: Britain generates record volume of renewable electricity Renewable power sources – wind, solar, biomass and hydro – generated 40 percent of Britain's electricity in 2022 – up from 35 percent in 2021, according to a recent Drax Electric Insights report completed by Imperial College London. Enviva, GreenTrees partner on carbon removal projects Enviva and GreenTrees have announced a nine-year partnership agreement that will contribute towards Enviva’s net-zero goals for its Scope 1 carbon footprint, equating to approximately 10,000 metric tons of carbon removal credits annually. USDA announces REAP awards, opens new funding round The USDA on Dec. 15 awarded $285 million to 844 projects under the Rural Energy for America Program.
