Drax: Pellet production up 27% in 2022 Drax Group plc released 2022 financial results on Feb. 23, reporting that the company produced 3.9 million metric tons of wood pellets at its North American facilities last year, up 27 percent when compared to 2021. READ MORE SHARE
EIA: US biofuels capacity up in December, feedstock use down Total U.S. operable biofuels production capacity expanded in December. Randy Feenstra, R-Iowa, in February reintroduced three bills that aim to support the U.S. biofuels industry by comparing the costs of EV and FFV fleets, supporting R&D for SAF, and supporting the development of biofuel fuel cells. Neste: Collaboration achieves helicopter flight with SAF Neste, Airbus, Safran Engines and Microflite have jointly operated Australia’s first helicopter flights using SAF. The Airbus H130 helicopter was powered by a Safran Arriel 2D engine and fueled with SAF supplied by Neste. READ MORE SHARE

	CVR Energy restructures its renewables business CVR Energy Inc. on Feb. 1 completed a transaction to break out its renewables business, according to statements made by CEO David Lamp during a Q4 earnings call held Feb. 22. KBR launches SAF technology in alliance with Swedish Biofuels KBR announced Feb. 20 that it has launched SAF technology in alliance with Swedish Biofuels AB, a technology developer and pioneer in cutting-edge research on biofuels. Chesapeake Utilities to develop RNG facility in Florida FPU Renewables LLC on Feb. 21 announced plans to construct, own and operate a dairy manure renewable natural gas (RNG) facility at Full Circle Dairy in Madison County, Florida. The project is expected to be operational in 2024. READ MORE SHARE
Neste helps Bell 505 fuel single engine helicopter with SAF Bell Textron has completed its first flight fueled solely by 100 percent sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) with its Bell 505 becoming the first-ever single engine helicopter to fly using 100 percent SAF, according to Neste. READ MORE SHARE
Strategic Biofuels to install Johnson Matthey, bp technology Johnson Matthey and bp on Feb. 20 announced that their co-developed, award-winning Fischer Tropsch (FT) CANS technology has been selected by Strategic Biofuels for its Louisiana Green Fuels project in Caldwell Parish, Louisiana.
