US, India advance clean energy partnership The third ministerial meeting of the U.S.-India Strategic Clean Energy Partnership was held in New Delhi on July 18. Aemetis awarded CO2 sequestration characterization well permit Aemetis Inc.'s carbon capture subsidiary has been awarded the first CO2 sequestration characterization well permit issued by the State of California. EPA denies 26 SRE petitions The U.S. EPA on July 14 denied 26 petitions filed by small refineries seeking small refinery exemptions (SREs) from their RFS blending obligations for one or more of the compliance years between 2016 and 2023. Only two SRE petitions remain pending. READ MORE SHARE

Anaergia selected to develop California waste-to-energy project Anaergia Inc. has been selected as the energy recovery contractor for a new system that will produce renewable power from wastewater sludge at the East County Advanced Water Purification facility under construction in Santee, California. DOE: New tax credit benefits SAF, renewable chemical projects The U.S. Department of Energy, U.S. Department of the Treasury, and the Internal Revenue Service have announced $4 billion in tax credits for projects that expand clean energy, critical materials manufacturing, or recycling. USDA maintains forecast for soybean oil use in biofuel production The USDA maintained its forecast for 2023-’24 soybean oil use in biofuel in its latest World Agricultural Supply and Demand Estimates report, released July 12. The outlook for 2023-’24 soybean production was reduced. READ MORE SHARE
