Mike Flood, R-Neb., and Nikki Budzinski, D-Ill., on July 25 introduced the Sustainable Aviation Fuels Accuracy Act of 2023, a bipartisan bill that aims to identify the standards required to meet the definition of SAF at the FAA. Klobuchar introduces Biomanufacturing and Jobs Act Sen. Amy Klobuchar, D-Minn., on July 20 introduced the Biomanufacturing and Jobs Act, which aims to strengthen the USDA’s BioPreferred Program. 	EPA: 2.04 billion RINs generated in June More than 2.04 billion RINs were generated under the RFS in June, up from 1.86 billion generated during the same month of last year, according to data released by the U.S. EPA. Total RIN generation for the first half of 2023 reached 11.39 billion. READ MORE SHARE
Chevron, Grace JV launches catalyst system to produce RD, SAF Advanced Refining Technologies LLC, a joint venture of Chevron and W. R. Grace & Co. has launched ENDEAVOR, a hydroprocessing catalyst solution to produce renewable diesel and SAF from 10 percent renewable sources. READ MORE SHARE
EIA: Densified biomass fuel production at 860,000 tons in April The U.S. Energy Information Administration recently released data showing U.S. manufacturers produced approximately 860,000 tons of densified biomass fuel in April, with sales reaching 610,000 tons. READ MORE SHARE
IAG invests in SAF developer Nova Pangaea Technologies International Airlines Group has announced an investment into Nova Pangaea Technologies, an U.K.-based cleantech company whose technology converts agricultural waste and wood residue into ethanol that can be processed into SAF. READ MORE SHARE
	Bill aims to alter small refinery provisions of the RFS Sen. Cynthia Lummis, R-Wyo., on July 19 introduced a bill that aims to alter the RFS by changing the way RIN compliance credits are generated and slashing the renewable volume obligations (RVOs) of small refiners. READ MORE SHARE
WM unveils $35 million RNG facility in Arkansas WM announced on July 17 it has opened a new 14,430 square-foot RNG facility in Springdale, Arkansas. The $35 million WM Eco Vista RNG facility is expected to recover and distribute approximately 750,000 MMBtu per year of RNG. READ MORE SHARE
Virgin Atlantic to fuel transatlantic flight with 100% SAF Virgin Atlantic and Rolls-Royce on July 20 confirm the successful SAF blend ground test on the Rolls-Royce Trent 1000 engine. The airline plans to fuel a transatlantic flight on 100 percent SAF on Nov. 28. READ MORE SHARE
EIA: Nearly all US renewable diesel is consumed in California California accounts for nearly all renewable diesel consumption in the United States, but most of it isn’t made in the state.
