	Report: Japan’s import of wood pellets to increase in 2023 Japan has been dramatically increasing its wood pellet imports for its feed-in-tariff (FIT) program, with wood pellet imports expected to reach an estimated 4.25 million bone-dry tons this year, according to a report filed with the USDA. School in Canada’s Yukon Territory switches to biomass heat A school located in the south-central region of Canada’s Yukon Territory, roughly 250 miles northeast of Juneau, Alaska, will source up to 90 percent of its heat from biomass under an agreement announced on Aug. 22. READ MORE SHARE
EIA: Densified biomass fuel sales at 840,000 tons in May U.S. manufacturers produced approximately 900,000 tons of densified biomass fuels in May, according to the August edition of the U.S. EIA's Monthly Densified Biomass Fuels Report.
