BCAP funding awarded to New York, North Carolina, Arkansas The USDA's BCAP program is back in action. Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack has announced that two new project areas will be developed and another existing BCAP project area will be expanded through the help of a $9.6 million funding round. Minn. study team visits Swedish bioenergy facilities A group of Minnesota delegates recently visited several bioenergy facilities, including large-scale combined-heat-and-power facilities, throughout Sweden to study what might be possible in regard to implementing similar projects within the state. Planning application for biomass plant approved in the UK Norfolk, U.K.-based renewable energy developer Iceni Energy Ltd. has announced the successful approval of its planning application for a straw-fuelled biomass plant near Snetterton. CEC awards $6 million to anaerobic digestion project The California Energy Commission has selected Clean World Partners LLC to receive a $6 million grant to support a biogas and bioenergy project. The funding will enable the expansion of the company's Sacramento project. READ MORE SHARE
