Albany Green Energy to develop 50 MW biomass plant in Georgia


Proctor & Gamble Co. and Constellation Energy have announced the development of a 50 MW biomass plant that will provide all of the steam needs for P&G's largest U.S. facility in Albany, Georgia. The plant will also sell electricity to Georgia Power.

Port improvements underway at site of future Cool Planet facility


Site work is progressing at the site of Cool Plant Energy Systems' proposed biorefinery at the Port of Alexandria in Louisiana. Construction of the biorefinery is expected to kick off later this year, with production commencing in 2016.

Applied LNG has signed an agreement to purchase biomethane from BP Energy Co. BP Energy will supply Applied LNG with biogas from waste landfill sites. Applied LNG will use the biogas to produce LNG in its liquefaction facility in Topock, Arizona.
