	FAO publishes global pellet statistics for 2014 The Food and Agricultural Organization of the United Nations recently published updated data on the global wood products industry that shows wood pellet production set a new record in 2014, growing by approximately 17 percent. READ MORE SHARE
University of Northern Iowa releases study of biomass feedstocks The University of Northern Iowa's Tallgrass Prairie Center recently released a final report for its Prairie Power Project, which studied biomass production of four different native species seed mixes over three different soil types for five years. Lux Research names Fulcrum to top 10 list of innovative companies Lux Research named Fulcrum BioEnergy to its top 10 list of innovative companies from 2015. Fulcrum was the only alternative fuels company named to the list. The company is developing a biorefinery near Reno, Nevada. READ MORE SHARE
UK DECC: Bioenergy production increases in third quarter The U.K. Department of Energy and Climate Change has released third quarter energy statistics, reporting energy production increased by 11.9 percent when compared to the prior year. The share of renewables also increased. READ MORE SHARE
USDA highlights 2015 bioeconomy achievements The USDA has released a list of its 2015 top achievements. The list includes several achievements that have benefited the biofuel and bioenergy sectors, including funding for ethanol fuel pumps and progress with the BioPreferred Program. READ MORE SHARE

AD project breaks ground in Pennsylvania Lancaster Area Sewer Authority and Buchart Horn recently broke ground on a $26.8 million biosolids upgrade and improvement project in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. Researchers to produce aviation fuel from CO2, waste biomass Heriot-Watt University has announced plans to lead a multi-disciplinary project to develop low carbon aviation fuels from captured CO2 and waste biomass.
