EPA sets date for Clean Power Plan biomass workshop


The U.S. EPA has set a date for its previously announced biomass workshop regarding its role in the Clean Power Plan. The workshop will be held on April 7 at the EPA William J Clinton East building in Washington, D.C., from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

States ask Supreme Court to block Clean Power Plan


On Jan. 26, a group of 29 states, led by Texas and West Virginia, asked the U.S. Supreme Court to block implementation of the U.S. EPA’s Clean Power Plan until a legal challenge filed in a lower appeals court is resolved.

Court rejects request to delay implementation of Clean Power Plan


On Jan. 21, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Colombia denied a request for a stay that would have prevented the U.S. EPA from implementing the Clean Power Plan until legal challenges are resolved.
