GREC sells 102.5-MW biomass facility to GRU


Gainesville Renewable Energy Center, a partnership of Energy Management Inc., BayCorp Holdings, Starwood Energy and Fagen Power LLC, has sold its 102.5-MW biomass facility to Gainesville Regional Utilities for $750 million dollars.

Biomass conversion begins at Asnæs Power Station


On Oct. 30, DONG Energy kicked off the biomass conversion of the Asnæs Power Station in Kalundborg, Denmark. Following the two-year conversion process, the facility will take in wood chips and other forms of biomass as fuel.

Enviva reports strong third quarter


Enviva Partners LP has released third quarter financial results, reporting net income of $131.5 million, up 18.7 percent. Included in the net revenue were product sales of $125.4 million on a volume of 668,000 metric tons of wood pellets.
