New Hampshire legislature overrides veto of biomass bill


The New Hampshire legislature has successfully voted to override Gov. Chris Sununu’s veto of Senate Bill 365, which will require electric utilities to purchase energy from six of the state’s independent biomass power plants for three years.

EIA: 680,000 tons of densified biomass fuel produced in May


The U.S. Energy Information Administration recently released data showing that U.S. manufacturers produced approximately 680,000 tons of densified biomass fuel in May, with sales reaching 610,000 tons.

Virgin Australia leads trial using Gevo’s biojet in Brisbane


On Sept. 11, Virgin Australia announced the successful completion of a trial to deliver sustainable aviation fuel through Brisbane Airport’s general fuel supply system. Biojet used during the trail was supplied by Gevo Inc.
