Fram Renewable Fuels purchases former SEGA Biofuels pellet plant


A division of Fram Renewable Fuels has acquired an idle pellet plant in Brantley County, Georgia, and is working to restart the facility. Operations at the 120,000-million-ton-per-year plant are expected to resume in November.

Cellulosic biorefinery to break ground in North Dakota


A biorefinery that will produce 16 MMgy of cellulosic ethanol and 120,000 of lignin pellets is set to break ground in Spiritwood, North Dakota, in spring 2019. The facility, under development by New Energy Blue, will feature Inbicon technology.

Enviva reports minimal hurricane damage


Enviva Partners LP reported Sept. 17 that its facilities have incurred only minor damage from Hurricane Florence. The company's production facility in Sampson County, North Carolina, was briefly idled but has already resumed operations.
