US EPA releases E15, RIN market reform proposed rule The U.S. EPA released its proposed rule March 12 for year-round E15 sales and reforms to the RIN market. Much of EPA’s proposed RIN market reforms apply only to D6 ethanol RINs, although EPA is accepting comments on this narrow applicability. READ MORE SHARE
Boeing to offer biofuel for airlines to fly new airplanes home Boeing will begin offering airlines and operators the option of powering their new commercial jet with biofuel for the flight home. The program is designed to further spur use of sustainable aviation fuels, which cut emissions by up to 80 percent. READ MORE SHARE
	USDA data shows US wood pellet exports increased 17% in 2018 The U.S. exported 6.04 million metric tons of wood pellets in 2018, up approximately 17 percent when compared to the 5.14 million metric tons exported in 2017, according to data released by the USDA Foreign Agricultural Service on March 6. Natural Resource Canada funds study for potential pellet project On March 5, Natural Resources Canada announced plans to invest $220,000 to support a study that could result in the development of a wood pellet project in the Beaufort Delta region of the Northwest Territories. READ MORE SHARE
W2C Rotterdam project welcomes Shell as partner Shell has joined as an equity partner with Air Liquide, Enerkem, Nouryon and the Port of Rotterdam for a proposed project in Rotterdam will be the first of its kind in Europe to make chemicals and biofuels out of non-recyclable waste materials. Renewable diesel will be more accessible to fleet drivers in northern and central California thanks to four cardlock locations, unstaffed fueling stations designed to accommodate fleet vehicles, which will soon offer Neste MY Renewable Diesel. Neste: Sweden proposes ambitious aviation GHG reduction target Sweden has an ambitious target of being fossil-free by 2045. As a part of the initiative, a proposal for decarbonizing aviation was announced on March 4. Under the proposal, Sweden could introduce a GHG reduction mandate for aviaition fuel. READ MORE SHARE
