USDA: US exports 450,000 tons of wood pellets in July


The U.S. exported 451,299.1 tons of wood pellets in July, according to data published by the USDA FAS on Sept. 4. Exports were down when compared to the 694,515.3 tons exported in June and the 476,634.8 tons exported in July 2018.

CS Energy breaks ground on RNG plant in Indianapolis


SCS Energy recently broke ground on construction of a 4,000-scfm landfill gas to renewable natural gas (RNG) plant in Indianapolis. Indy High Btu LLC engaged SCS Energy to build the RNG plant under an engineer/procure/construct (EPC) agreement.

Gevo Inc. announced Sept. 4 that it has developed proprietary processes that converts either low-carbon isobutanol or low-value fusel oils, a mixture of alcohols that are byproducts of fermentation, into renewable diesel.
