Brightmark Energy invests in New York dairy biogas project


Brightmark Energy announced Sept. 24 that it has partnered with four dairy farms in upstate New York to utilize anaerobic digesters that will convert a total of 225,000 gallons of dairy waste per day from 11,000 cows into biogas and other products.

Bill would require EPA to account for SREs in RVO rulemakings


Legislation introduced by Rep. Rodney Davis, R-Ill., on Sept. 18 would require the U.S. EPA to account for small refinery exemptions (SREs) when formulating annual Renewable Fuel Standard volume obligations.

Atlantic Power comments on fire at Cadillac biomass plant


Atlantic Power Corp. disclosed Sept. 23 that its Cadillac biomass plant, located in Cadillac, Michigan, is currently offline following a fire at the plant on Sept. 22. The cause of the fire and extent of the damage is currently unknown.

Ernst discusses SRE deal as Trump meets with Big Oil senators
