Velocys fulfills order for biorefinery project in Japan


Velocys announced it has constructed and delivered Fischer-Tropsch reactors and catalyst to Toyo Engineering Corp. for use in a biomass-to-jet fuel demonstration facility in Nagoya, Japan. Toyo's order for the equipment was announced in September.

EIA updates 2019, 2020 bioenergy production, capacity forecasts


The U.S. Energy Information Administration released an updated Short-Term Energy Outlook on Nov. 13 predicting that non-hydro renewables will provide 10 percent of total U.S. utility-scale power generation this year, increasing to 12 percent in 2020.
