	Innogy sells German biomass cogeneration plant, pellet facility German energy company Innogy has sold a biomass cogeneration plant and adjacent wood pellet plant to Austria-based Cycleenergy Holding GmbH. DOE offers $96 million for bioenergy R&D projects The Department of Energy on Jan. 23 announced it will award up to $96 million for bioenergy research and development to reduce the price of drop-in biofuels, lower the cost of biopower, and enable high-value products from biomass or waste resources. Skeena Bioenergy responds to local pellet shortage Skeena Bioenergy, the owner of a 75,000-metric-ton-per-year wood pellet plant located in Terrace, British Columbia, announced on Jan. 28 plans to donate pellets to local residents in response to a local shortage of home heating fuel.
