Valero reports strong Q3 for renewable diesel, ethanol Valero Energy Corp. released third quarter financial results on Oct. 22. The company reported an overall net loss. $1.7M grant will improve barge access for proposed pellet plant The U.S. Department of Commerce’s Economic Development Administration announced on Oct. 20 a $1.7 million grant to improve barge access at the Port of Epes Industrial Park in Alabama. 	Oil state senators ask EPA to undermine the RFS Several oil state senators are urging the EPA to set the 2021 RVO for renewable fuel below the E10 blend wall. Aemetis begins production of dairy biogas Aemetis Inc. has begun producing dairy biogas from the first two dairies in a 17 dairy digester biogas project. Neste reports solid Q3 performance for renewable diesel Neste released third quarter financial results on Oct. 22, reporting solid performance despite the COVID-19 pandemic. Demand for the company’s renewable diesel remained good and sales volumes were relatively stable. READ MORE SHARE
Grassley, IRFA, IBB speak out against zero-emission vehicles bill Two Iowa biofuel groups and Sen. Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, on Oct. 22 spoke out against legislation introduced on Oct. 20 that aims to eliminate sales of internal combustion engine vehicles that can be fueled with biofuels.
