Enerkem proposes to develop advanced biorefinery in Quebec Enerkem and strategic partners Shell, Suncor, Proman and Hydro-Quebec on Dec. 8 announced plans to develop a CAD $875 biorefinery in Varennes, Quebec, that can produce 125 million liters of advanced biofuels, including methanol and ethanol. USDA: US wood pellet exports top 624,000 metric tons in October The U.S. exported 624,212.9 metric tons of wood pellets in October, up from both 608,046.6 metric tons in September and 550,094.5 metric tons in October 2019, according to data released by the USDA Foreign Agricultural Service on Dec. 4.
