Drax: Construction starts on second Arkansas pellet plant


Drax Group has started construction on the second of three satellite pellet plants in Arkansas, the company announced Sept. 20. The faciltiy, located in Russellville, Arkansas, is expected to begin commerical operations in 2022.

U.K. has announced the fourth round of its Contracts for Difference (CfD) energy scheme. Landfill gas, sewage gas, energy-from-waste with CHP, large-scale anaerobic digestion, and dedicated biomass with CHP are among the eliglbe technologies.

EIA: Densified biomass fuel sales reach 670,000 tons in May
