UK groups take action against wood products from Russia, Belarus

US wood pellet exports at 655,657 tons in January


The U.S. exported 655,656.5 metric tons of wood pellets in January, down from 774,410.2 metric tons exported the previous month, but up when compared to the 599,624.2 metric tons exported in January 2021, according to data released by the USDA.

JAPEX announces plans for 50 MW pellet-fueled plant in Japan


Japan Petroleum Exploration Co. Ltd. (JAPEX) on March 24 announced it is working with Maeda Corp., Yonden Business Co. Inc., and Shinko Denso Co. to develop a 50 megawatt (MW) wood pellet-fueled power plant in Ozu City, Ehime Prefecture, Japan.
