EPA issues final RVO, biointermediates rule and denies 69 SREs The U.S. EPA on June 3 finalized the 2021 and 2022 RFS RVOs, reduced the existing RVO for 2020, finalized regulations related to biointermediates, denied 69 SREs petitions, and proposed an alternative RIN retirment schedule for small refineries. USDA: US wood pellet exports at 659,071 metric tons in April The U.S. exported 659,071 metric tons of wood pellets in April, down from 801,396.9 metric tons in March, but up from the 635,463.4 metric tons exported in April 2021, according to data released by the USDA Foreign Agricultural Service on June 7. Anaergia commissions RNG facility in Italy Anaergia Inc. announced it has officially commissioned a new biomethane facility in Italy, the Calimera Bio plant in the Province of Lecce. The facility is the second of seven facilities Anaergia is building in the country. READ MORE SHARE
ENplus surpasses 1,200 certified companies In 2021, the total production of ENplus certified pellets is estimated to be 13.6 million metric tons. The organization currently predicts that ENplus certified volumes for 2022 will be more than 14 million metric tons. READ MORE SHARE
Aemetis completes 20 miles of biogas pipeline Aemetis Inc. on June 6 announced the completion of 20 miles of biogas pipeline and approval for construction of the remaining biogas pipeline in Merced County, California.
