World Energy to develop new SAF hub in Texas World Energy on Aug. 18 announced it is launching advanced engineering plans to convert its existing assets in Houston to launch a new SAF hub that will boost the company's SAF capacity by 250 MMgy. Anaergia facility to supply CO2 for green methanol production Anaergia Inc. on Aug. 17 announced it has signed an agreement with European Energy A/S to supply the company with up to 60,000 metric tons per year of liquefied biogenic carbon dioxide (CO2) for a period of 10 years. READ MORE SHARE
DOE: Wood Heater Technology Slam scheduled for Sept. 29 The U.S. Department of Energy has announced applications for the Wood Heater Technology Slam are due Aug. 31. EPA: 1.7 billion RINs generated in July The U.S. EPA released updated renewable identification number (RIN) data on Aug. 18, reporting that 1.7 billion RINs were generated under the Renewable Fuel Standard in July, down slightly from the same month of last year. READ MORE SHARE
UK proposal aims to ensure adequate wood pellet supplies for RHI The U.K. government is proposing to temporarily suspend certain fuel quality requirements for Renewable Heat Incentive participants using wood pellets in response to supply impacts resulting from Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. Liberty acquires RNG platform, partners on hydrogen hub project Liberty (RNG) LLC has acquired Sandhill Advanced Biofuels LLC, a developer of RNG projects located on dairy farms that currently has four projects in Wisconsin. Andritz to supply biomass handling plant for project in Brazil Andrtiz has announced it will supply a biomass handling plant for Eldorado’s Onça Pintada site in Três Lagoas, Mato Grosso do Sul, Brazil.
