Construction has begun on a liquefied biogas facility at the Port of Gothenburg. Owned and developed by Nordion Energi, the plant is expected to play a central role in making Swedish biogas available to more sectors, not least shipping.

Japan-based Erex Corp. on May 13 announced plans to develop a 112-MW biomass power plant in Niigata Prefecture, a region on the west coast of Japan. The facility is expected to begin operations in 2029 and will be fueled with wood pellets and PKS.
Aemetis Inc. announced on May 21 that the Capital Programs & Climate Financing Authority in California has adopted an initial resolution related to potential future issuance of up to $1.1 billion of tax-exempt bonds for Aemetis projects.
