The U.S. exported 879,590.7 metric tons of wood pellets in May, down 6% when compared to April, but up 3% when compared to May 2025, according to data released by the USDA Foreign Agricultural Service on July 7.
U.S. biofuel producers consumed 27.973 billion pounds of feedstock in April, down nearly 8% when compared to March, but up 4% when compared to April 2025, according to data released by the U.S. Energy Information Administration on June 30.
Total U.S. operable biofuel capacity expanded slightly in April, with gains for renewable diesel and associated fuels. Ethanol capacity was down slightly, while biodiesel capacity remained unchanged, according to data released by the U.S. EIA.
Randolph County has selected Waga Energy to build and operate a biomethane production unit at the Great Oak landfill site in Randleman, North Carolina. Waga Energy will finance, build, own, and operate the RNG production unit.
