The Government of Ontario is protecting workers and jobs in the forest sector by investing $11.3 million in five research, innovation and modernization projects in northeastern Ontario. The investments are being made under the Forest Biomass Program.
Mote Inc. announced on March 4 the successful first close of its Series A funding round, securing $7 million in investment led by Nella Next and Preston-Werner Ventures. The company’s technology produces energy from waste wood will sequestering CO2.
Haffner Energy on Feb. 26 announced the commencement of hydrogen production utilizing its proprietary solid biomass thermolysis technology at its Marolles hydrogen production, testing, and training center.
In late November, EcoEngineers presented a webinar exploring hydrogen’s place in the renewables transition.
Treasury and the IRS on Jan. 3 released final rules for the Section 45V Clean Hydrogen Production Tax Credit established by the IRA. The regulations, in part, address the production of hydrogen from biogas and RNG feedstocks.
