Wisconsin Gov. Tony Evers on April 2 signed a bill that authorizes up to $120 million in tax credits to support a biorefinery project that aims to convert woody biomass into sustainable aviation fuel (SAF).
The USDA on April 1 delivered a final rule to establish “technical guidelines for the production of regenerative agricultural biofuel feedstocks” to the White House Office of Management and Budget, where it will undergo interagency review.
The USDA Rural Business Cooperative Service on March 31 announced it will not make any new grant awards under the Rural Energy for America Program until it updates program regulations to comply with Executive Order 14315.
U.S. biofuel producers consumed an estimated 28.858 billion pounds of feedstock in January, down nearly 6% when compared to December and down slightly from January 2025, according to data released by the U.S. EIA on March 31.
