Drax Group plc on Feb. 26 released 2025 financial results, reporting record high pellet production. The company, however, is launching a strategic review of its Canadian pellet operations due to a constrained fiber market and low margins.

U.S. manufacturers produced approximately 880,000 tons of densified biomass fuel in September, according to the U.S Energy Information Administration. Sales of densified biomass fuel reached 970,000 tons during the month.
The U.S. Forest service is offering $95 million through its Wood Innovations program for projects that advance innovative wood uses, expand wood-based construction, and grow U.S. wood energy markets and forest product processing capacity.
