The U.S. EPA on July 14 approved a RFS fuel pathway petition filed by Chevron Renewable Energy Group Inc. that will allow the company’s Geismar, Louisiana, faculty to generate RIN for fuel produced from CoverCress oil feedstock.
In a court filing made July 28, the U.S. EPA announced it will issue a decision on two RFS compliance year 2024 SRE petitions filed by Alon Refining and HF Sinclair by Aug. 4, ahead of the Aug. 11 deadline requested by the oil companies.
NW Natural has announced its 2025 RNG purchase amount of 3.35%, marking a significant increase over 2024 volumes. The company has since secured contracts for 4% RNG in 2026 and is looking to increase its RNG percentage again in 2027.
DHL Express and Moeve announced the signing of a SAF offtake agreement at Adolfo Suárez Madrid-Barajas Airport. Under the agreement, DHL Express will purchase approximately 2 million gallons of SAF during a one-year term
HF Sinclair Corp. on July 28 reported strong second quarter results for its renewable segment with high margins supported by improved renewable identification number (RIN) prices. Renewable products sales volumes were also up for the quarter.
