The USDA currently predicts soybean oil use in biofuel production will increase by 1 billion pounds to 14 billion pounds for 2024-25, according to the agency’s latest World Agricultural Supply and Demand Estimates Report, released May 10.
On its path to opening a facility designed to turn agriculture residue into a scalable biofuel business, SAFFiRE Renewables LLC plans to break ground on its pilot plant near Liberal, Kansas, in late 2024.
The Alliance for Green Heat has designed a new survey to gain insight into how and why people use pellet stoves, and what they like and don’t like about them. The survey is open to anyone who has used a pellet stove for home heating in the past year.
Tidewater Renewables Ltd. on May 9 reported that its renewable diesel facility in Prince George, British Columbia operated well during the first quarter. The company also made significant progress on FEED for its proposed SAF project.
LanzaTech Global Inc. on May 9 announced that that LanzaJet’s 10 MMgy ethanol-to-sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) plant in Soperton, Georgia, in on track to begin producing fuel during the second quarter.
