As Americans prepare to enjoy their Thanksgiving feasts, the American Biogas Council on Nov. 25 released new data highlighting the growth of biogas systems that convert food waste into energy.
Divert Inc. and General Produce have announced a partnership that will transform food that can’t be sold or donated into renewable energy and soil amendment in the Northern California region, further securing Divert’s foothold in the state.

Erg Bio on Nov. 18 announced it has closed a $6.5 million seed round led by Azolla Ventures. The funding will enable Erg Bio to scale its Aspire Technology, a proprietary low-temperature pretreatment and catalytic platform.
EnviTec Biogas has signed a contract with First Quezon Biogas Corp., officially entering the Philippine biogas market. The 1.4 MW biogas plant belongs to an agricultural cooperative of 14 poultry farmers and will begin operations in June 2026.
