Renewables are expected to account for 26% of U.S. electricity generation this year, expanding to nearly 28% in 2027, according to the U.S. Energy Information Administration’s latest Short-Term Energy Outlook, released April 7.
The U.S. Energy Information Administration increased its forecast for 2027 renewable diesel and production in its latest Short-Term Energy Outlook. The forecast for the production of “other biofuels,” including SAF, was maintained.
OPAL Fuels has completed the sale of $23 million in Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) investment tax credits (ITCs) generated by the Atlantic renewable natural gas (RNG) facility, located in Egg Harbor Township in New Jersey.
On April 1, the European Investment Bank and Eni signed a 15-year loan for €500 million to convert selected units of Eni’s Sannazzaro de’ Burgondi refinery, located in the Italian province of Pavia, into a biorefinery.
The U.S. exported 608,572.1 metric tons of wood pellets in February, down 37% when compared to the previous month and down 24% when compared to February 2025, according to data released by the USDA Foreign Agricultural Service on April 2.
