The U.S. EPA on Oct. 2 delivered a proposed rule to the White House Office of Management and Budget regarding the agency’s plan to reallocate 2025 Renewable Fuel Standard volumes waived via small refinery exemptions (SREs).
U.S. capacity for renewable diesel and associated fuels expanded by more than 5% between Jan. 1, 2025, and Jan. 1, 2026, according to data released by the U.S. Energy Information Administration on Sept. 24.
