A research team at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign has developed a method to produce jet-grade fuel from food waste, contributing to a circular bioeconomy.
Refinity, an Innventure Inc. company, on June 22 announced it has licensed technology from PNNL that is designed to convert waste plastic-derived light olefins into distillate-range products for further upgrading into SAF and renewable diesel.
SkyNRG on May 28 celebrated the groundbreaking of the DSL-01 project in Delfzijl, the Netherlands, a project being delivered by Technip Energies. The sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) facility is expected to be operational in 2028.
ASTM and CSA Group have signed an agreement to develop a joint standard on evaluating biomass supply chain risk. The collaboration builds on CSA Group’s existing CSA W209 standard and aims to expand its use and impact.
