IHI Power Services Corp. has been selected by Strategic Biofuels to provide pre mobilization, mobilization and plant operations and maintenance services for its Louisiana Green Fuels project, a 100 MW wood fired power facility.
Renewables are expected to account for more than 26% of U.S. electricity generation in 2026, increasing to nearly 28% in 2027, according to the U.S. Energy Information Administration’s latest Short-Term Energy Outlook, released May 12.

New data from the American Biogas Council shows that thousands of biogas capture systems across the U.S. are already generating reliable, renewable electricity, and that the opportunity to dramatically expand this homegrown power source is vast.
The USDA is formally rescinding a notice of funding opportunity issued in October 2024 for FY 2025, 2026 and 2027 Rural Energy for America Program funding. Any applicant without a fully executed financial assistance agreement will have to reapply.
