The U.S. EPA on July 14 approved a RFS fuel pathway petition filed by Chevron Renewable Energy Group Inc. that will allow the company’s Geismar, Louisiana, faculty to generate RIN for fuel produced from CoverCress oil feedstock.
HF Sinclair Corp. on July 28 reported strong second quarter results for its renewable segment with high margins supported by improved renewable identification number (RIN) prices. Renewable products sales volumes were also up for the quarter.
U.S. manufacturers produced approximately 880,000 tons of densified biomass fuel in April, according to the U.S. EIA’s Monthly Densified Biomass Fuels Report. Sales of densified biomass fuel reached 900,000 tons during the month.
Neste reported record results for the second quarter of 2026. EBITDA for the renewable products segment reached an all-time high, supported by a record high sales margin and sales volumes exceeding 1 million metric tons.
