Corn use for fuel alcohol production in June was down approximately 1 percent when compared to the same month of last year, according to the August edition of the USDA’s Grain Crushings and Co-Product Production Report.&nbsp;Total corn consumed for alcohol and other uses was 493 million bushels in June, down slightly when compared to the previous month and down less than 1 percent when compared to June 2022.&nbsp;Corn consumed for fuel alcohol was at 441 million bushels in June, up 1 percent when compared to May, but down 1 percent from June of last year. Corn consumed in June for dry milling fuel production and wet milling fuel production was 92.3 percent and 7.7 percent, respectively.&nbsp;The USDA withheld the volume of sorghum that went to fuel alcohol production in June to avoid disclosure of data for individual operations.At dry mills, condensed distillers solubles production reached 117,041 tons in June, up from both 101,166 tons the previous month and 109,555 tons in June 2022. Corn oil production was at 184,370 tons, down slightly from 184,993 tons in May, but up sightly from 184,350 tons in June of last year. Distillers dried grains production was at 390,664 tons, down from 415,669 tons in May but up from 346,591 tons in June of last year. Distillers dried grains with solubles production was at 1.79 million tons, up from 1.7 tons the previous month, but down from 1.92 tons in June 2022. Distillers wet grains production was 1.3 million tons, down from 1.32 million tons in May, but up from 1.28 million tons in June of the previous year. Modified distillers wet grains production fell to 414,953 tons, down from both 455,581 tons the previous month and 494,792 tons in May 2022.&nbsp;At wet mills, corn germ meal production fell to 45,709 tons in June, down from both 50,169 tons in May and 58,667 tons in June 2022. Corn gluten feed production was at 270,060 tons, up from 264,606 tons the previous month, but down from 287,211 tons in June of last year. Corn gluten meal production was at 110,430 tons, down from 114,453 tons in May, but up from 91,720 tons in June of the previous year. Wet corn gluten feed production fell to 179,905 tons, down from both 193,092 tons the previous month and 202,951 tons in June 2022.&nbsp;At dry and wet mills, carbon dioxide captured was at 225,597 tons in June, up from 218,999 tons in May, but down from 241,628 tons in June of last year.&nbsp;&nbsp;
