Electricity is the defining operational cost of a biogas facility, yet electric motors rarely receive the same scrutiny as the compressors, digesters and upgrading systems they power.
Clean Energy Fuels Corp. announced that it has completed the sale of $30.7 million in federal tax credits generated by seven of its RNG production facilities. The sale marks Clean Energy's fourth transaction monetizing credits from its RNG projects.
The European Commission on Sept. 17 approved a EUR 11.41 million ($12.98 million) grant to support a cross-border biomass heating district heating project that will serve areas in Slubice, Poland, and Frankfurt, Germany.
Vietnam Waste Solutions, the wholly owned Vietnamese subsidiary of Oakland-based California Waste Solutions, is converting the country's first U.S. Subtitle D sanitary landfill into a larger clean-power and resource-recovery complex.
U.S. manufacturers produced approximately 950,000 tons of densified biomass fuel in June, according to the U.S. EIA’s Monthly Densified Biomass Fuels Report. Sales of densified biomass fuel reached 960,000 tons during the month.
