Renewables are expected to account for 26% of U.S. electricity generation this year, expanding to nearly 28% in 2027, according to the U.S. Energy Information Administration’s latest Short-Term Energy Outlook, released April 7.
OPAL Fuels has completed the sale of $23 million in Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) investment tax credits (ITCs) generated by the Atlantic renewable natural gas (RNG) facility, located in Egg Harbor Township in New Jersey.

FIDEM Energy LLC, a Tennessee-based developer of biogas to energy projects, on April 1 announced a strategic partnership with Japan-based Sojitz Corp. to advance U.S. renewable natural gas (RNG) production.
The first tank truck loads of liquefied CO2 captured from a biogas facility have been transported from Slemmestad, Norway, to permanent geological storage below the seabed, according to Inherit Carbon Solutions.
