XCF Global Inc. on Aug. 27 addressed current dynamics across North American fuel markets as U.S. refiners face tighter crude slates following recent production pullbacks and maintenance across Canadian oil sands facilities.
The California Senate on Aug. 26 unanimously voted to pass the Forest Organic Residue, Energy and Safety Transformation and Wildfire Prevention Act, which authorizes a new program to maintain and expand biomass power generation within the state.
ORLEN has secured certification under the Oil and Gas Institute’s KZR INiG sustainability scheme for the co-hydrotreatment of biobased feedstocks at its Płock refinery. The facility can process 100,000 metric tons of biobased feedstocks annually.
The U.K. is expected to consume a record 10.35 million metric tons of wood pellets in 2026, requiring an estimated 10.15 million metric tons of imports, according to a report filed with the USDA FAS Global Agricultural Information Network.
The Ontario government is investing over $2.1 million in four projects to increase forest sector competitiveness and drive innovative uses for mill by-products and underused wood known as forest biomass.
