The U.S. EPA has posted a notice to its website providing call-in information for the June 25 hearing scheduled to address the agency’s proposed rule for the 2014, 2015 and 2016 renewable fuel standard (RFS).

According to the notice, the line will open at 8:45 CDT and stay open until the hearing is over. The call-in line is for listening purposes only. Due to the large number of participants, the EPA said the hearing will be held in two separate rooms simultaneously. Only one of the rooms will be audible to participants on the phone. Additional information, including the call-in number, is available on the EPA website

The EPA released a proposed rule containing 2014, 2015, and 2016 RFS renewable volume requirements (RVOs), along with a proposed 2017 RVO for biomass-based diesel on May 29.

The June 25 public hearing on the proposal is scheduled to take place in Kansas City, Kansas. The hearing is scheduled to begin at 9:00 a.m. and will conclude when all parties present who wish to speak have had an opportunity to do so. Those who wish to testify were directed to contact the EPA by June 12.

Members of the public who wish to weigh in on the proposal can also submit written comments. The comment period officially opened June 10 and is set to conclude July 27.
