Repsol on May 26 announced the launch of its second 100% renewable fuel plant on the Iberian Peninsula, located at its Puertollano industrial complex. The facility has the capacity to produce 200,000 tons per year
U.S. manufacturers produced approximately 800,000 tons of densified biomass fuel in February, according to the U.S. EIA’s Monthly Densified Biomass Fuels Report. Sales of densified biomass fuel reached 710,000 tons during the month.
Acelen Renewables on May 21 announced it has secured $1.5 billion to develop a biorefinery in Brazil that will have the capacity to produce 1 billion liters (264.17 million gallons) of SAF renewable diesel. Operations are expected to begin in 2029.

Walmoore Ag-Grid, Ag-Grid Energy’s first dairy farm digester project in Pennsylvania, is now in active development thanks to a $4 million RISE PA grant announced by the Shapiro Administration. The project is scheduled to be operational in Q4 2027.
