North Carolina DEQ issues modified air quality permit to Enviva


The N.C. Department of Environmental Quality’s Division of Air Quality (DAQ) has issued a modified air quality permit to Enviva Pellets LLC – Ahoskie Plant. The permit requires the facility to install new air pollution control devices.

Drax announces $50M expansion to Aliceville facility


As global demand for biomass continues to surge, Drax has announced a $50 million expansion at its Aliceville, Alabama, wood pellet plant that will increase capacity by nearly 50 percent, from 250,000 tons to 380,000 tons.

Report: Canadian wood pellet exports up 5% in 2022


Canadian wood pellet production for 2022 remained stable with the previous year, according to a report filed with the USDA Foreign Agricultural Service’s Global Agricultural Information Network. Exports were up an estimated 5 percent.
